Prof. Michela CANEPARI President		Prof. Micol BESEGHI
Michela Canepari obtained a Master's Degree in Critical Theory and a PhD in English Literature from the Università del Sussex (United Kingdom). She now works as an Associate Professor of English Linguistics and Translation at the University of Parma. Her major research interests cover discourse analysis and the different forms of translation, with a specific focus on specialized languages. Her publications include several monographs and various articles on interlingual, intralingual and intersemiotic translation, the popularization of specialized languages, new methodologies in teaching English as a second language, etc.		Micol Beseghi holds a PhD in Comparative Languages and Cultures from the Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia, and works as a researcher of English Language and Translation at the Università di Parma. Her main research interests concern the fields of audiovisual translation, the didactics of translation, corpus linguistics and learner autonomy in foreign-language education. She has published articles on translation and language teaching as well as a monograph focused on the translation of multilingual films.
Prof. Virginia VECCHIATO		Prof. Andrea BRACCINI
Virginia Vecchiato, PhD in Humanities at the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, currently teaches English Language and Translation at the University of Turin, the University of Parma and the E-campus University. Her study and research interests, which are reflected in her publications, focus on textual genre analysis, English for Specific Purposes, applied linguistics and legal translation.		After his degree in Language Mediation Sciences at the "Vittoria" School for Language Mediators (SSML) of Turin, Andrea Braccini has successfully attended numerous professional development seminars and webinars organised by the PVDA section of AITI and other authorities. For more than 18 years, he worked as a freelance translator and contract translation lecturer at various universities, publishing countless works.
Dr. Chiara PALLOTTI		Prof. Silvia Cavalieri
Chiara Polletti obtained a Master's degree in Technical and Scientific Translation from the Università di Genova in 2008. In the same year, she started translating in the medical and pharmaceutical fields, specializing in documents for regulatory authorities, clinical trials and medical devices. Since 2014, she has been teaching online courses on medical and pharmaceutical translation. Since 2009, she has also worked as a Research Assistant at the G. Gaslini Children's Hospital in Genoa, Italy, where she manages clinical trial data in collaboration with paediatric centres around the world.		Silvia Cavalieri is Associate Professor of English Linguistics and Translation at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. She has worked and published on various aspects of discourse analysis and ESP with a focus on corpus linguistics and digital humanities. Her recent work has centred on different specialized discourses in the digital environment especially considering social media and user-generated contents.

Dr. Ilaria GIORDANO
Ilaria Giorgano is a PhD student in English linguistics at the University of Parma, where she works on critical discourse analysis and intersemiotic translation of scholarly communication. In 2019 she obtained a Master's degree in Theoretical, Applied and Modern Languages Linguistics from the University of Pavia, with a thesis in English linguistics entitled ‘Blurring the boundaries between popular and academic communication: a corpus study of interaction in science blogs’. In 2020, she was an intern at the Language Centre of the Università di Cambridge (UK), where she worked on specialized and academic language in a learning/teaching environment. Her research interests include corpus linguistics and its applications to the study of specialized languages (English for Science and Technology in particular), the rhetoric of science and the mechanisms of its communication to the general public, as well as the processes of intralingual, interlingual and intersemiotic translation of sectorial languages.
