Here's what they say about us...

"The Master's in Specialized Translation proved to be fundamental in approaching the world of translation. Specialized languages were addressed and deepened by the professors with great professionalism, providing students with the necessary theoretical foundations while also keeping an eye on the practical aspects of the translation market today. The weekly assigned translations, the accurate and constant revisions by the teachers, and the various hours of internship were of great utility, allowing for a dynamic and stimulating confrontation with the translation challenges that a professional translator potentially encounters in daily practice." "After obtaining my degree in Linguistic Mediation, I decided to continue my path by seeking a master's program that would give me the opportunity to specialize in the field of translation. The Master's in Specialized Translation allowed me to deepen both the theoretical and practical study of specialized languages, such as legal, medical, scientific technical, and tourism, and to acquire the appropriate tools to best face the challenges posed by translations in these fields, thanks especially to the professionalism of expert professors in the sector. The online format combined with the availability shown by the professors gave me the opportunity to best combine my studies with my personal needs." Aurora

"I attended the Master's in Specialized Translation at the University of Parma from Cape Town, South Africa. I was already working as a translator and wanted to consolidate and enhance my skills. I found the theoretical part very dense; besides reviewing it for exams, I revisited it during the internship period and the preparation of the final paper, finding new points of reflection with each reading, and I will certainly refer to it in the future, depending on the work I will face. The laboratory activities were useful, and among the elements I did not expect was the focus on CAT tools, indispensable tools that I was able to learn more about. My internship experience was important, as I was able to work on translations that are currently awaiting publication, but I felt a bit lonely during that phase... as it also happens at work. This is perhaps an element to pay more attention to, encouraging more feedback but also addressing which communities individuals can find support in: I think, for example, of online forums, but also of how important the chat contact with my course colleagues was. Finally, I must admit that reconciling the master's activities with family life and work required a great effort, which was possible thanks to the support of my family and the flexibility offered by the academic staff, who tried to facilitate participation as much as possible. My overall experience was extremely positive and I highly recommend this master's program to anyone who wishes to specialize in the field of translation." Annalisa
